United Colleges Group Science students hope to go all the way again this year in the World Skills competition.
Following the first stage in April, this month sees two of our science students take part in stage two at Middlesex University – with the National finals taking place in Manchester in November.
First years Sefa Mehmood and Khloe Ysabel Datig, both studying Level 3 Applied Sciences hope to follow in last year’s finalist from our college, Cassandra Fernandes, and make it to the National finals in Manchester.
“We are very excited to be able to enter such a large and professional competition. We are grateful to the Science Technicians for providing us with the essential help and practice needed for the competition." - Safa Mehmoood & Khloe Ysabel Datig.
Designed by industry experts, the World Games provides competition-based training that boosts young people’s personal skills and develops skills that employers need.
"Good luck, Safa and Khloe! As you step into the lab technician National Qualifiers this Friday, remember that your dedication and hard work have brought you to this pivotal moment. This is your time to shine, to showcase your skills and passion. Believe in yourselves, stay focused, and give it your all.
